  1. Just A Memory

From the recording ghosts and apologies

This was a last minute addition that came to me last year. I was semi-retired from performing and this tune gave me a trip into the past. The writing came together like most of my songs in one sitting. But the tune took on more life when I later added the electric guitar. The solo I double tracked with a dry and delayed guitar to help fill the stereo field. It may come off a bit sad but that wasn't my intention.

Lyrics

Dirty dive bars and reaching for the stars you’re just a memory.
A pair of angel wings an audience who sings you’re just a memory.
Good times with friends and nights that never end you’re just a memory.

You’re just a memory from my past, a ghost who I let back in.
You’re not really there but I’ll answer when you call you’re just a memory.

Won’t let me sleep thoughts begin to creep you’re just a memory.
Ramblin’ through the night chasing down moonlight you’re just a memory. Fill my heart with stars to cover up the scars you’re just a memory.

You’re just a memory from my past, a ghost who I let back in.
You’re not really there but I’ll answer when you call you’re just a memory.

You’re just a memory from my past, a ghost who I let back in.
You’re not really there but I’ll answer when you call you’re just a memory. Just a memory. You’re not really there but I’ll answer when you call you’re just a memory. Just a memory. You’re not really there but I’ll answer when you call you’re just a memory.
